the hibachi food truck
Meet the Chef
Dorian Canty worked for a Teppanyaki restaurant for two years practicing all day and night to master his craft as a chef. In 2018, he lost his stepfather, Kevin, to a stroke and his world turned upside down. He had to learn how to live without someone he had loved and counted on; someone who inspired and pushed him to keep going. Dorian found himself struggling to make ends meet, facing hardship, homelessness and dropped out of school. He knew this was not what his stepfather wanted for him and knew he had to make a change.
When quarantine happened, he took a step in faith and started his business, Kavi's Hibachi Grill. "My step-father, Kavi, always emphasized to me how important it was for a man to have something of his own. I watched him work harder than anyone I knew and that inspired me to start my business. I now get to honor a man with good work ethic and an even better outlook on life because of what he instilled in me."

Omg hands down the best food truck ever. It really is as good as it looks in the pictures. Even my picky kids loved it! Highly recommend try ittttt thank you guys! Support local small businesses!!
The food is fantastic! You can tell there is no
shortage of love put into each order. I had the
triple combo: fried rice, stirfried veggies, steak,
chicken and shrimp. All of it is perfectly cooked
and seasoned. Chef Dorian is a class act and his
food is a direct representation!
We visited Colorado from Texas and wanted
something authentic but yummy. We were tired
of fast food after being on the road. We were
downtown and passed by many food trucks, but
the aroma from Kavi's Hibachi truck was
amazing. the food was well served and well
presented and so flavorful. We were not
disappointed and the portions are worth the wait.
